Keyword : human body deconstruction, beauty of ugliness
For centuries, women have been judged by their looks more than any other aspect of their personality. This project was trying to find the definition of the word “ideal beauty” from different perceptions and cultures. Throughout history, the concept of beauty has been revealed in society the way it was thought about. However, The fact that nobody is perfect can’t be changed. Therefore, tons of products and procedures out there are created to help us achieve our goals, including plastic surgery. However, one question that came to my mind is : does plastic surgery make people loose there own identity?
This leads to the idea that there is no rules for perfect beauty. It depends on one’s perception. Beautiful women know how to distinguish themselves or express their identity. How people see beauty in things or even women depends on their viewpoints and understandings. This concept was to find the new definition of beauty in imperfection and ugliness in human body. The project explored the beauty inside ugliness of nature and appearance. Examples of what some people want to hide were things
such as wrinkles, pores, bad hair. The study also offered a new viewpoint to see the beauty inside human nature body. I defied the keyword “viewpoint” into the use of material such as magnifier, refraction and sign through water, and reflective silver to offer a new point of view to see the world.

Keyword : human desire, seduction
Collaborated with Fashion TV, The hidden desire collection was created in Bangkok and broadcasted worldwide on Fashion TV. Fashion TV was seeking for a new fresh idea from young designers for A/W 2012 collection. The event offered the opportunity to showcase the work on an international platform. Talking about hidden desire of human, the thing you see is not always what it is. The human mind is very complicated. I created a narrative of a journey inside the mind of a young female which to me seems like they have their own fantasy world. I defined the world of this fantasy mind in the narrative of the women’s beauty world.
The design process went through a clicking technique using a clicking machine to shear webs of low strength materials. Applying wigs in clothes is also new design solution for A/W collection. They give more of a silky feeling than faux fur, yet they are recyclable. They can be made from waste materials from plastic factories and are able to be interjected into the industrial system again.

Bon Voyage is the collection of unit-assembly jewelry. Unit pattern was created to be a tiling puzzle that required the assembly of small pieces together. Integrated with DIY idea, people can create their own form, their own jewelry out of these unit pieces. Developed from the concept of Nostalgia, the concept was to explore a sentimentality for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations. The scientific literature on nostalgia is quite thin, but there are a few studies that have attempted to pin down the essence of nostalgia, and what causes it. Smell and touch are also strong evokers of nostalgia and memories in general due to the processing of these stimuli first passing through the amygdala, the emotional seat of the brain. In order to keep the memory of some period of time, the collection illustrate the story of the journey of a group of friends traveling together to the sea. The jewelry serves like a time capsule, capturing hints of the good old day, the memory of a nice trip and friendship.
Made of laser-cut metal, this collection was created for sun bathing. Suntan line of jewelry-like mark will remain after you wear it to sunbath for a while. Like memory, the suntan line jewelry will disappear gradually when time passes. My design criteria was that jewelry doesn’t necessary have to be shown in a physical object ; it can be something that we can touch and feel with our minds. The design process focused on the human needs of keeping memory, researching about nostalgia philosophy, thinking about functionality and transforming it into design. This project targets the consumer who loves slow-life traveling. The piece is the integration between jewelry and time cupsule machine to cure “the nostalgia of the future”.

Keyword : time traveller, Albert Eistein’s theory of relativity
Associated with the concept of new mathematic and Albert Eistein’s theory of relativity, the collection of four pieces explore the ambiguity and sense of uncertainty. According to Eistein, “Since there exists in this four dimensional structure [space-time] no longer any sections which represent “now” objectively, the concepts of happening and becoming are indeed not completely suspended, but yet complicated. Therefore a more natural way to think of a physical reality is as a four dimensional existence. Albert Einstein believed there was no true division between past and future, that rather there is rather a single existence. The collection depicts parallel movements that go simultaneously between past, present and future. “If ” we could exceed the speed of light, we would be able to travel to another parallel universe, our past or our future, which have the different nature rules from ours. Time travel shares the similar concept as a backdrop and consequence. However, “if ” we could actually go across the universe border, our memories would be lost.
While this can’t be proven or dispr
oven, some scientists believe that in order to change where you or your location, you merely need to change your thought pattern or frequencies. The challenging question is “How can I transform this conceptual mathematic theory into design?”. The design element expresses visual language of new dynamic vision of life. The new technology discoveries are changing the pace of life and the way society perceived the things. In the world of shifting perspective, we are now living in the modern world experiencing time, space and motion more dynamically.

Continued with the same concept, the fabric of time and Albert Eistein, the project two focuses more on exploration of organic from mathematic development and scientific concept. Using programs to transform the intersection between movements in the different period of time in two minutes, linkage between lines and forms were discovered. After doing experimental designs of contour line, 2D concept was developed into 3D structure by folding and paper cutting techniques.
Material : electroformed copper
Keyword : rust
This project examines three pieces of jewelry created with the technique of chemical reaction. Inspired by Buddhist philosophy, “impermanence“ is the term that expresses the Buddhist notion that all of conditioned existence, without exception, is in a constant state of flux. According to the impermanence doctrine, human life embodies this flux in the aging process, the cycle of birth and rebirth (samsara), and in any experience of loss.
Made of electroformed copper material, the pieces gradually oxidize with Oxygen when time passes, Oxidation occurs as a result of copper’s exposure to air, though perspiration. Connotation of impermanence of beauty and appearance of human, the pattern of oxidation expresses the truth and eternal of life.
Material : thermochromic film
Keyword : colour gradient, thermochromic film, mood, body interaction
Embrace is a set of thermochromic jewelry that its colour is changable due to interaction between body movement, gesture and body language of a couple. It shows the range of emotions, the time when the feeling of one’s mind will mature and ripen. The research began with exploring the interaction between a couple; how they hold their hands, a form of mental and physical ability of human non-verbal communication, consisting of body posture, gestures, facial expressions, and eye movements. Humans send and interpret such signals almost entirely subconsciously.
The design process had been through research about design criteria of the position of the set of jewelry realted to how people touch their loved one. The collection consists of two pieces, which are attached at parts of body that are touched frequently by observation. Material used in the collection is thermochromic film. When temperature rises, the thermochromic film can change color from colorful to colorless. The range of colour exposes body interaction and also emotion due to body heat realted to one’s sentiment research. Physical expressions like waving, pointing, touching and slouching are all forms of nonverbal communication.
Material : glass, water
Keyword : light beam
The collection represents the dilemma of the flux of time, motion and space in a medium that lent itself to the mere capture of the fleeting moment. Refraction of Light is a set of a special tool for public amusement show which can also be perfectly used in places of entertainment such as bar, disco, and party, etc. Researching about human behavior in party or public amusement, a tool that creates activity and interaction between people is a tool to fulfill their need to socialize. Unlike LED light finger touch, the pieces don’t require battery input or electronic tools. According to this rule in nature, when a light beam strikes a plane interface between two media having different optical properties part of it is reflected and part is transmitted. The transmitted beam is refracted, or bent away from the direction of the incident beam. The pieces can be integrated with laser light in club or party to generate personal light beam. The colour of light beam is changeable due to colour of water in glass ball (part of jewelry), angle and body movement.
Material : LEDs, copper tape
Keyword : tiny space for storage, thermal protection
Imagine if you lived in the 22nd century, the world’s weather would be more severe. Dangerous meteorological phenomena could possibly be happening. The project was an experimental design of a body armor that acts like a body heat control. I created a prototype of body covering that generates warm and cool according to the changing weather and ambience. The LEDs represent heat level and how it can be gradient. The project was inspired by a hoberman that can be adjudged for different body sizing. It has a wide range of expanding and requires a tiny space for storage(Imagine if we lived in that era, the world population would be increased and we wouldn’t have much space.
Material : LEDs
Keyword : dancing, hand gesture, hand clapping
The project was inspired by the skeleton dance which was a part in the Mickey Mouse black and white. I illustrated the scene of four skeletons doing motions and dancing in a graveyard. By illustration, I tried to tell a story by making hand gestures, just like doing the skeleton dance. I wanted to express the feelings of dancing with neon lights, that goes along with LEDs technique and symphony song. The light wouldn’t be lit up until you clap your hands and start dancing. I played with part-assembly technique. To make a powerful light effect you need more than one unit working together, like a team of skeletons in the cartoon.
Material : LEDs, plexiglass
Keyword : design your own way of wearing
The project was inspired by a spirograph which is a geometric drawing toy. I like that it starts from a very basic line and curve but when you combines all the lines together with a repetition technique, the result is always surprising. Also, it allows the form to gradient in many ways. It started from a basic oval form. Then, I twist a 4 degree angle in each one. I made a design sketch in illustrator program and then use laser cutter to make the final piece. The material is a clear plexiglass sheet. I created a basic parallel circuit with copper tape and 5mm blue LEDs. The complete circuit was made up of the combination between two layers of the unit form. When you separate the form, the light will not be lit up. I put magnets between the joints to make it attach to the right point and make the circuit connect better. The combination of every unit form illustrates a laser-liked line from the LEDs. The necklace allows users to connect the unit forms in many ways and create their own customised shape of jewelry.

Keywords : Blind, sense experience
Fashion for the Blind describes the new senses of aesthetic for the blind by touch and sound. Fashion is a subset of art and arts are crucial for advancement of many key issues in the education and rehabilitation of people who are disable. The project aims to help blind and visually impaired people dress fashionably and experience the visual world of fashion not only through our eyes but also through their hands and ears. Because blind can appreciate art and fashion.
The Fashion for the blind is a dress that allows the blind to play piano with the interface. Users’ fingers act like a capacitor that make the circuit complete. Applied from the concept of body capacitance, Like any other electrically-conductive object, a human body can store electric charge if insulated.
Blindness or visual impaired problem is not only a physical difficulty. The blind’s brain won’t receive the messages needed for sight. However, having a vision damage doesn’t mean that they can’t appreciate fashion and feel the sense of aesthetic. The project offered an idea of conveying visual images in accessible formats to visually impaired people. Integrated touch and sound are the significant part of this idea so they can perceive aesthetic with their hand and ear.
What makes this special?
Sense experiences. the lack of sight will mean they will have a different conception of shape, mass, size and colour. However, their perceptions of texture and sound will be crucial.
